SCYFOOD > Whisky Glenfarclas 60 Year Old Contact Customer Service ENQUIRY In 1865, John Grant took over the tenancy of Rechlerich farm from the Ballindalloch estate, over the generations the distiling side of the business grew and during the 1890s John grant's grandchidren sought outside capital to better take advantage of the then growth in the whisky industry. They formed a partnership with Pattison but their company bankrupted, what became know as 'The Pattison Crisis' and had a serious impact on Glenfarclas, despite this and two world wars and Prohibition, the Grants continued to build Glenfarclas and for thanks to the forethought of their family, Georges Steward Grant made a Coection of 43 consecutives vintages from 1952 to 1994, from sherry casks at cask strenght. The impressive cask stock in the Glenfarclas warehouses means there has been a great output of well-aged core range and limited edition age statements. This is a stunning 60 year old, presented in a crystal decanter with a hexagonal display case representing the six generation of the Grant family that have managed the Distillery. 70cl/43,3%
