Its reputation has skyrocketed since it was purchased by the Duron family, who also own Château Léoville Lascars, a super second wine in Saint-Julien. As soon as the Duron family purchased Nenan, they re-plowed the land, replanted the vines, and installed state-of-the-art machinery in the winemaking facilities to renew the winemaking process. They also undertook a major winery overhaul by renovating the dilapidated basement cellar and installing air conditioning. As a result, Nenan, which had previously been described as "a mediocre wine lacking a little elegance," soon became one of Pomerol's top quality wines. Another factor that contributed to the quality of Nenan was the largest and finest vineyards in Pomerol. While many chateaus in Pomerol are small, with vineyard areas of less than 10 hectares, Nenan's vineyards cover a vast area of approximately 25 hectares. 75cl x 6
