SCYFOOD > Bordeaux Chateau Malartic Lagraviere Contact Customer Service ENQUIRY Malartic-Lagravière is a chateau of recent interest, conveniently located between Larivet Haut-Brion and Domaine de Chevalier, with a history of over 200 years, originally named Chateau Lagravière. In 1803, the Malartic family purchased the chateau, and in 1850, when it became the property of the Ricard family, it became "Malartic-Lagravière" in honor of the previous owners. In 1876, when the Ridlé family, who were in the shipping business, took over the property, it was renamed "Malartic Lagravière" with an engraving of their sailing ship, the Marie Elisabeth, which is still in use today. The design is still used today. The wines, both red and white, are consistently of high quality and above price every year. The wines are elegant yet flavorful, with velvety smoothness and concentrated fruit flavors. Both the red and white wines are aged in 50% to 60% new oak barrels, which gives the wines a moderately oaky nuance. 37.5cl x 12
