SCYFOOD > Bordeaux Chateau Lafon Rochet Contact Customer Service ENQUIRY The estate was born in the late seventeenth-early eighteenth century when Étienne de Lafon, Gironde parliamentarian, acquired by marriage land located at a place called "La Rochette" in Saint-Estèphe, land that he planted with vines. The estate remained in the Lafon family until 1880. Already highly prized at the end of the eighteenth century, when it adopted the name of Lafon-Rochet, the wine was classified fourth grand cru in 1855.
