Its main winery is even below sea level. Bowmore is known for producing a very wide variety of whiskies of different ages and maturations. Its single malt is not as peated as its large southern neighbors, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Caol Ila or Laphroaig), but is more powerful than its northern neighbors Bruichladdich. This is part of an incredibly rare series of single cask Bowmore bottled in the late 1970s for customers of Fecchio & Frassa Import in Italy.
