SCYFOOD > Whisky Springbank 1964 Samaroli 15 Year Old Sherry Wood Contact Customer Service ENQUIRY Founded in 1828, the Springbank distillery has remained under family ownership since, Springbank is also one of distilleries to survive from the thirty plus distilleries, which once formed the centre of the scotch malt whisky industry of Campbeltown. Springbank is distinguished by being the only Scottish distillery to floor malt all the barley it requires, it is also one of the few to bottle on site, making this only 'estate' malt with the same mountain spring water from Crosshill Losh. Silvano Samaroli began his career in the whisky industry as an importer in 1968, operating as the Italian agent for Speyside's Linkwood distillery. This 1979 bottling of Springbank is part of his first foray into the independent bottling scene. 75cl/45,7%
